Yall!
My best friend finally had her baby!
Wild enough, Tamara Weatherbee has never seen ANY of my birth photos that I have taken for the hundredsssss of women whose births I have captured. . .
I stopped taking them years ago because I couldn’t handle the stress of nearly missing births when clients had paid me a large sum of money to guarantee my attendance.
But I made a small exception for these girls.
Her appointment that morning found she was nearly 6cm and was admitted to the hospital.
We all (her mom, Tara and I) rushed around like crazy people when we received the text:
“Doc said she’ll probably be here by 9AM!”
Tamara was annoyingly stoic throughout.
Needing to have something to complain of though, a busted vein would due.
Her IV was painful, but the epidural took care of the rest.
After 4 solid pushes and a little help from Dr. Sontag > > >
Sunny girl was here.
& I was RIGHT on the MONEY.
7lbs. 10 oz. 20 inches long
(Tamara still doesn’t know how many births I’ve been a part of & was shocked at my accuracy.
PS Anthony totally owes me dinner now! ! ! )
Perfect in literally every way (even if they were both a bit more swollen than she would have liked for them to be),
Tamara & Sunday are both doing well & will likely be home in the next day or two, where I plan to move in temporarily > > >
Growing up, I wanted all girls & all vaginal births.
I got 3 boys, 1 girl & all c-sections.
So thanks Tamara for being completely ignorant to how I continue to live through you vicariously <3
You were a total BOSSSSSSS in that delivery room & Sunday, Kenna, Shep & Kora are all so lucky to have you as their momma.
all my love,
J
